Spintex Chemists, a leading distributor of pharmaceutical products in the country, has introduced a new baby crème onto the Ghanaian market.
The Bennetts Baby Bum Crème is manufactured in South Africa by Bennett Brothers and is reputed to be of a quality that meets international standards for its soothing and protective properties.
The crème protect babies against diaper rashes and infant skin diseases.
The creme is applied to clean and dry baby bottom after every diaper change.
Bennetts Baby Bum which is marketed across Africa and Europe is a new water repellent based formula to protect babies of nappy rash and intimate body infections.
According to the production Manager , Johan Van Staden, Bennetts Baby Bum Crème is to be used for baby's bottom. This cream contains Zinc Oxide, Starch and Pure Essential Lavender Oil and will help soothe, heal and protect your baby's bottom.
"Because our Baby Bum Crème is formulated in a water repellent base, it forms a barrier between the wet nappy and baby's skin and a thin layer should be applied at every nappy change," the company said.
Bennetts Baby Bum Crème is Endorsed by Dermatologists and Clinically Tested for Mildness.
The launch was attended by Pharmacists, Midwives, Doctors and Nurses.
Launching the product, a midwife at the Resolve Hospital, Linda Ayertey advised mothers to patronize the product which contains ingredients such as zinc oxide, Petroleum jelly and lanolin.
Madam Ayertey warned mothers to refrain from any habit that exposes their babies to infections.
